"Grapes and Pears"

THE STORY BEHIND THE IMAGE
Grapes and Pears is a more traditional still life set-up. The background and darkest shadows were rendered by applying carbon directly to the paper. I used graphite to enhance the rounded shape of the grapes...utilizing its natural shine to pull them forward.
